Meditating can be one of the best things you do for yourself in life. Meditation isn’t about silencing the mind completely, nor becoming a Buddhist monk. It is hard to become the latter and impossible to achieve the former. No, It’s about transforming the mind, training your awareness, and shifting your perspective on your thoughts and feelings through mindfulness. Mindfulness is the ability to be present, to rest in the here and now, fully engaged with whatever we’re doing in the moment.

Incorporating a regular meditation practice into your lifestyle will not only improve your emotional wellbeing but will also improve your physical wellbeing as it lowers your heart rate, slows and deepens your breathing, suppresses cortisol and adrenaline and boosts our immune system.
